If you happened to have lice and you have dreads how do you recommend getting rid of them? im all for keeping my dreads but that is a worry i face
lord give me strength
pretty tough to be honest. technically, given how tightly matted dreads are, lice shouldn't like your hair. they prefer straight hair because they can easily make their way to your scalp. but if you find yourself with them and you have locks, the issue you face is removing the nits and their eggs. given you can't comb locks, in theory it's a done deal.
your best bet would be to use shampoos and treatments for lice and hope that this kills off everything. i suppose if you're able to kill the infestation you could keep your locks...and the rest becomes protein but you gotta admit, it would be kinda gross
then again, people put placenta on their hair (not to mention eat it) and sperm on their face so eh...whatever.
